WEEK 3 SKILLS

Goal is to complete 1 level of each skill at least 3 days a week! Should come out to be a minimum of about a 30 Minute work-out per day.







Ball Handling
3-speeds (10 Min per day)

3 Levels:

Beginner: 4 cones(15ft apart) straight ahead. Walk-Dribble from 1-2, Jog-Dribble from 2-3, Sprint-Dribble from 3-4.

Intermediate/Advanced: 4-cones but in zig/zag series directions. Use Crossover or Spin at each cone. Repeat Walk-Dribble from 1-2, Jog-Dribble from 2-3, Sprint-Dribble from 3-4.

Shooting
Shooting off the Dribble (10 Min per day)

3 Levels:

Beginner: 3 spots (7-8ft from rim), Start with Hesitate n/go and Crossovers at cone, 2-dribbles with outside hand passed cone, pick up into shot. Repeat from the right of each spot!

Intermediate: 3 spots (10-15ft from rim), Start with Hesitate n/go and Crossovers at cone, 2-dribbles with outside hand passed cone, pick up into shot. Repeat from the right of each spot!

Advanced: 3 spots (15f-20t from rim), Start with Hesitate n/go and Crossovers at cone, 2-dribbles with outside hand passed cone, pick up into shot. Repeat from the right of each spot!

1 on 1 Scoring
Catch - Ripthru - n’Go (10 Min per day)

3 Levels:

Beginner: 3 spots (2 wings and top of key), Move is… spin-pass to self, ripthru low, attack same side into 2ft power finish and then into short jump shot off dribble.

Intermediate: Repeat all beginner series then ADD… finish with right and left-hand but into normal lay-up finish at each spot. Then add ripthru into short jump shot off dribble.

Advanced: Repeat all of Beginner, Intermediate, then ADD… repeated series but finish with a Floater and Reverse Lay-ups and Jump shot off dribble.

Skill Competition Drill
60 Lay-Ups!

5-8th Grade = 15ft. 4th-Under = 10ft (And May Lower Hoop to 8ft). Please Use exact measurements if possible!
3-Spots(20ft from rim to start). Full-speed. 20 at each spot. Alternate right and left side layups when going from top of key. 20 Right Handed Layups from right-wing, 20 Left Handed Layups from left-wing, 20 Layups with right hand from top of key, 20 left hand lay-ups from top of key, 20 Reverse Layups(10 each hand).
