WEEK 2 SKILLS

Goal is to complete 1 level of each skill at least 3 days a week! Should come out to be a minimum of about a 30 Minute work-out per day.







Ball Handling
Between the Legs Dribble (10 Min per day)

3 Levels:

Beginner: Stationary; Dribble between legs, 1 or 2 dribbles on that side, then back through.

Intermediate: Stationary; Dribble between legs, wrap around, then back through.

Example Video 1

Advanced: Stationary; Repeat begin. And interim. Then add dribble between legs back/forth consistently. Add walking while dribbling through legs!

Shooting
Trigger-Step Rhythm Shooting (10 Min per day)

3 Levels:

Beginner: 5 Spots; 5-7ft from Rim (lower Rim as needed). “Spin-pass” to self, catch into shooting pocket, trigger-step then shoot. Make 3 at each spot before moving.

Intermediate: 5 Spots; 8-10ft from Rim. “Spin-pass” to self, catch into shooting pocket, trigger-step then shoot. Make 3 at each spot before moving.

Advanced: 5 Spots; 15ft and then 19-20ft (3-pt line)from Rim. “Spin-pass” to self, catch into shooting pocket, trigger-step then shoot. Make 3 at each spot before moving.

1 on 1 Scoring
Dribble - Hesitation - Crossover (10 Min per day)

3 Levels:

Beginner: 3 spots(2 wings and top of key), Move is… 2 dribbles to cone w/ strong hand, “pick-up-plate”/hesitate and crossover… into a regular 2-ft power lay-up.

Intermediate: Repeat all beginner series then ADD… finish with right and left-hand but into normal lay-up finish at each spot.

Example Video 1 - same move but finish with Lay-up.

Advanced: Repeat all of Beginner, Intermediate, then ADD… repeated series but finish with a Floater and Reverse Lay-ups at each spot on each side with right and left hand finish.

Skill Competition Drill
5-Spots 50 Shots! 2 Corners, 2 Wings, 1 Top/Key.

5-8th Grade = 15ft. 4th-Under = 10ft (And May Lower Hoop to 8ft). Please Use exact measurements if possible!

Email [email protected] by Sunday of Week 2 with your Name, Grade, and Number of Shots Made out of the 50! Shoot 50 (10 at each spot) in one session.
